In 2020, when the Covid pandemic was started and every one in the society was terrified with the deadly effect of it on human life. There was an orgy of death all around and death was stepping everywhere. People were locked in the houses and lot of crises was there for medical treatment, hospitals, medicines, oxygen cylinders, Blood, Plasma, food, mental trauma, loneliness etc. etc., some of the Chartered Accountants in Lucknow felt the pain of the society and just formed a WhatsApp group to provide help to such people in distress.

Initially, it was started to provide food, medicines and in house medical consultation to the members and their families suffering from Covid from its team of doctors on panel. Later, on it expanded to others people and in other fields also.

During pandemic, we run a program of 100 food packets for 100 days, which we delivered to those who were on street with no jobs and income in hand. Arranged food delivery at the door step to those families where all the members were positive or there was no one to cook the food.

During second wave, we purchased Concentrators, Gas cylinders and other medical equipment’s and delivered them to the needy people in our own vehicles. We also used our resources/arranged the refiling of gas cylinders by standing in que at that bad time.

More than 300 blood and plasma units were arranged and provided to the patients in hospitals who were struggling to their life and resultantly several of them were saved.

Unfortunately, 7 Chartered Accountants lost their battle of life while fighting with Covid in Lucknow, which shook us and we decided to expand our activities in a more organised way and then a Society naming “CA HELPING HANDS FOUNDATION” (CAHHF) was registered and presently we are having more than 300 members associated with it.

Following a period of respite from the challenges posed by Covid, Delta, Omicron, and other such adversities, our unwavering commitment to societal welfare led us to venture into diversified initiatives. As a result, we embarked on the journey of establishing a support system for the education of the girl child, thus birthing PROJECT GARGI
